UAHS, Shivamogga stood 2nd among State Agricultural Universities and 21st at National level among the State Agriculture Universities in the ICAR ranking.
The rankings were announced on 91st ICAR Foundation Day Award Ceremony on 16.07.2019. The ICAR includes State Agriculture Universities, Central Agricultural Universities, Deemed to be Universities and it is based on many parameters such as performance of Students at National level, faculty achievements, research/extension, farm related activities, partnership with other Universities, Institutes both at India and abroad, generation of internal receipts and overall governance of the University, employability of the students and performance of the alumni etc., In Karnataka six farm Universities which were subjected for ranking in a press statement Dr M K Naik, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, UAHS Shivamogga has congratulated the University Officers, Deans and Directors, Teachers, Students, supporting staff and labourers for their mighty contribution in elevating the position of University to 21st ranking at the National Level from 51st ranking which was awarded during the last year.
Prof. Naik informed that UAHS Shivamogga has worked as a team and has been striving hard in improving the overall performance in academics. The UAHS has prepared vision 2030 envisaging the targets to be achieved keeping in view of agriculture problems and prospects of seven districts. In this direction University supplied 19 lakh quality planting material to the farming community. He expressed that new University has a long way to march forward in the journey and the young University has proved its potential in the early stage and looks forward to reach new heights in future.
